Pawares, 32, is accused of having multiple sexual encounters with a 16-year-old student. The victim, a Franklin High School student, had previously informed school officials and police, which resulted in the teacher’s arrest. On Sunday, Franklin High School Principal Joseph Williams III sent an email to parents in which he stated that district employees acted quickly after receiving the report.
The email did not name the employee, but it implied that he had been placed on leave and was not permitted to enter any Seattle Public Schools buildings or contact students, their families, or staff. Mr. Williams III urged any staff members or students who had been subjected to sexual harassment to report the incident to school officials or the authorities.

Pawares Pathompornvivat was charged with first-degree sexual misconduct with a minor on two counts. He was arrested on February 17 and released on bail the following day. Pathompornvivat was charged with sexual misconduct with a minor charge on Thursday, February 23. The 32-year-old was also charged with immoral communication with a minor.
Prosecutors claim that Mr. Mac sent the victim over 3,000 texts and emails during that time period, the majority of which were sexually explicit. During the first two weeks of February, the victim accused Mr. Mac of having sex with her in his car and at her home. Senior Deputy Prosecutor Emily Peterson stated in the charging papers that the defendant abused his position of trust.
She went on to say that the Seattle Public School high school teacher abused his authority by having sexual relations with a student on multiple occasions. Pathompornvivat had previously had sexual relations with another student, according to the victim.
The investigation will look into whether or not the teacher had inappropriate relationships with other students. Pawares Pathompornvivat is due to appear in court on March 9.
