Students from Maine Maritime Academy Riley Igancio-Cameron and Brian Kenealy were murdered in an automobile accident in Castine, Maine.
They were both in their 20s and were extremely good friends. They had a wonderful friendship together. Kenealy was from York, Maine, while Ignacio was from Aquinnah, Massachusetts.

Four of the seven individuals involved in the vehicle collision did not survive after being transported to the nearby hospital.
They were immediately killed: Luke Simpson, 22, Riley Ignacio-Cameron, 20, Brian Kenealy, 20, and Chase Fossett, 21.
The other two pupils, Noelle Tavares and Dominick Gecoya, as well as the driver, Joshua Goncalves-Radding, suffered critical wounds. The three students and their families are still in the hospital.

On December 10, 2022, early Saturday morning, an automobile accident claimed the lives of four Maine Maritime Academy students.
According to the investigation, Joshua Goncalves-Radding, the driver, hit a tree with the vehicle. In the collision, four people died while three others including the driver suffered significant injuries.
Announcing the occurrence, school associate administrator Jeremy Light expressed his condolences to the student’s family at MVRHS and told The Times that the school community was shocked by the loss.
Jeremy Light and Jerry Paul, the Academy’s president, both spoke on the organization’s behalf.
