During the Live with Kelly and Ryan segment on Monday, Robin Arzón announced that she is expecting her second child with husband Drew Butler.
Arzón asserts that she is in excellent health and that the next addition to her family is much anticipated by everyone, including her 22-month-old daughter Athena.
After finding out she was pregnant, Strong Mama author, whose follow-up picture book Strong Baby will be published next month, says she stunned her husband with the news.
The fitness professional, who previously spoke out to PEOPLE about her decision to continue exercising while expecting Athena, says she intends to exercise regularly during her pregnancy in order to shatter the idea that pregnant women have less alternatives for exercise.

Robin Arzón was 32 years old and had just signed a contract with Peloton when she discovered she had Type 1 diabetes. Arzón, a fervent workout devotee and vegan, was astonished.
Type 1 diabetes, commonly referred to as juvenile diabetes, is a disease that develops when the body’s pancreas stops producing the hormone insulin, which regulates blood sugar levels. The good news is that despite the disease, as Arzón has shown, it is possible to have a happy and healthy life.

Arzón’s symptoms were increased thirst, frequent urination, and exhaustion, although she didn’t appear very bothered about them. She claimed that she thought she was having jet lag since she had recently returned from a vacation to India to see her sister. Arzón’s mother, a physician, recommended her daughter to arrange blood tests because she believed there may be more.

Arzón experienced a scary near call with death that profoundly changed her perspective on life. She said that at the age of 20, she experienced a near-fatal encounter. Since being held hostage at knifepoint, she has cherished each day.
When Arzón was a junior at NYU in 2002, she decided to meet up with some pals at a bar in New York City’s East Village. The New York Times reported that an AIDS patient walked out that night with three guns, a sword, and kerosene and declared his goal to kill as many people as he could before passing away.
The pedestrian, his first victim, managed to escape after being shot in the torso and enter the little wine bar where Arzón had previously stopped for a drink.

Sadly, the gunman kept on and fired one round, killing the young guy. He doused them with kerosene and threatened to light them all on fire.
Arzón claims that despite the horrific incident, she persevered and continued to pursue the legal profession she had always desired.
