According to a coroner’s report, Aaron Carter inadvertently drowned in his bathtub after taking drugs. Carter, the younger sibling of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, was discovered dead in his Lancaster, California home on November 5.
The autopsy has revealed that he drowned due to the effects of the sedatives he had taken and the gas he had ingested.
Alprazolam, frequently marketed under the brand name Xanax, was detected in his system.
Difluoroethane, a compressed gas, was also detected. According to the report, it is a “commonly used propellant in air spray cleaners” that “can induce euphoric feelings when inhaled.”
Also, According to the Associated Press, Carter was last seen alive when police visited his residence in the early hours of 4 November.
According to a police report included in the autopsy report, they were checking on him after he was spotted using an inhalant on an Instagram live video.
Carter had requested that the officers depart. According to the police report, he missed an appointment with a substance counselor later that day.
The next day, a woman characterized as a housekeeper offered Carter coffee at his residence. When there was no response, she entered and discovered him unconscious in a Jacuzzi-style tub with the jets still flowing.
On the site, paramedics pronounced him dead. Investigators discovered prescription vials and cans of an electronic duster that he had inhaled.
Carter began his career as the opening act on a number of tours and concerts for the boy band Backstreet Boys.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, his four albums, the first of which was released when he was only nine years old, sold millions of copies.
Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), his second album, was published in 2000 and went triple platinum. He supported Britney Spears on her Oops!… I Did It Again tour after the release of his album.
Aaron Carter transitioned to rap as he aged and also appeared in Broadway musicals and on the American television program Dancing With The Stars.
In 2013, he filed for bankruptcy owing millions of dollars in debt, the majority of which was tax-related, the majority of which he incurred by failing to pay taxes.
Additionally, he had multiple run-ins with the law for narcotic possession and reckless driving.
Carter’s son Prince was born in 2021, and according to The Hollywood Reporter, he attempted to acquire custody of him by entering rehab last year.
