Abraham is a singer, composer, musician, and movie producer from the United States. He is the father of Selena, a late singer, and songwriter.
Abraham Quintanilla was raised in a religious home and is a native of Texas. He was made in the USA on February 20, 1939, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Abraham Quintanilla is one of six kids raised by his parents. He was conceived by his mother, Maria Tereza Calderon, and his father, Abraham Gonzalez Quintanilla, Sr.
His parents were gleaners of cotton, vegetables, and fruits. He went to Roy Miller High School but dropped out before he could graduate to pursue a career in the music industry. Later that year, in 1957, he became a member of a band created by former classmates.
He later left the band, Los Dinos, to focus on raising his family. When he saw Selena, his six-year-old daughter, had talent, he started teaching her to play bass and his next daughter, Suzette, to play drums.
They then started the group Selena y Los Dinos. Six albums were able to be released from the studio. Together, the family started their musical journey. In the years after Selena passed away in 1955, he worked as the executive producer on a movie about her life.

She was murdered on March 31, 1995, by Yolanda Saldivar. Yolanda was her friend, the store manager, and the leader of her fan club. She was killed in Corpus Christi, Texas, by a gunshot.
The two of them were speaking in a hotel room just before the murder to discuss Saldivar’s alleged embezzlement of funds. According to court records, Saldivar accidentally killed the woman, for which reason she received a life sentence.
Marriage: Marcella Samora, Abraham’s wife, is his wife. A.B. Quintanilla, Selena Quintanilla, and Suzette Quintanilla are their three children. His daughter Selena spent three years of her life married to Chris Perez, her lover.
