Anne Heche’s Death and Obituary

Heche’s family and friends claimed last week that she suffered from a “severe anoxic brain injury” brought on by a lack of oxygen.

She was kept alive even after it was found she was brain dead so that her organs may be donated.

A blood sample taken from Heche apparently included drugs, according to police investigating the crash. However, after it was proven that she was brain dead, the police gave up on the investigation.

On August 14, her corpse will be submitted to the organ donation process after it was made public that organ recipients had been chosen.

Heche would participate in an honor walk organized by hospital staff to honour her organ donation. She had been “peacefully taken off life support” that evening, according to her spokesperson.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-office, Coroner’s, determined that her death was accidental and gave “inhalation and thermal injuries” as the cause of death along with “sternal fracture owing to blunt trauma” as a “other important condition.”

Anne Heche’s cremated ashes were buried in a mausoleum at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on August 23, 2022.

The Heche family

Since 2005, Anne’s mother Nancy Heche has concentrated on “overcoming homosexuality,” and she has been a Christian therapist since 1997.

She regularly presents at gatherings held by Christian rights and evangelical Christian organizations, especially Love Won Out, an ex-gay ministry that Focus on the Family originally backed.

Of Anne Heche’s four elder siblings, three had already passed away. The oldest, Susan (1957–2006), passed away from a brain tumor in that year.

Anonymity, a 1994 memoir she wrote as a Christian author and university professor, described their hidden gay father and his consequences on the rest of the family. Cynthia passed away at the age of two months due to a heart condition.

Nathan (1965-1983), the third brother and only sibling, died in a car accident at age 18 three months after their father passed away in 1983. He allegedly committed suicide, according to Anne, but her mother and living siblings denied this.
