How did Adeed Fayaz fare?
Authorities claim that the day Fayaz was shot, he went to buy an automobile. He set up a meeting with the owner of a Honda Pilot who was asking $24,000 for it on Facebook Marketplace.
Around seven o’clock in the evening, Adeed Fayaz and his brother-in-law proceeded to a location in Brooklyn’s East New York. According to the NYDP chief of detective James Essig, when they arrived, the vendor asked them if they were carrying guns as they were walking down a driveway.
Adeed as well as his brother-in-law declined. The vendor then demanded money while pointing a revolver at Fayaz’s head. The man pointed his rifle towards Fayaz’s brother-in-law after the deceased officer declared he had no money.
The officer now had a chance to escape the headlock. The shooter then began firing, striking Mr. Fayaz in the head, before he fled and killed both men.
Chief Essig reported that the brother-in-law was able to remove a firearm from Mr. Fayaz’s hip and fired at least six bullets at the vendor as he fled.
In addition, Chief Essig notes that police used dashcam footage from Mr. Fayaz’s brother-in-law to connect the 2011 BMW to the alleged auto seller who fled.
