The 27-year-old Korean-Canadian actor recently discussed his hit series Business Proposal, working with star Kim Se-Jeong, and other topics in an interview with Esquire Korea.
Ahn Hyo-seop, the current K-drama heartthrob, claimed that he only studied the first three episodes of the screenplay before accepting the role in Business Proposal. The actor insisted that getting the role of the benevolent, industrious CEO Kang Tae-moo in the romantic comedy didn’t require much convincing.
The interviewer praised the actor on the success of the program, telling him that it unmistakably showed his lead power. The actor’s reply was as follows:
“I really value your affection,” Making the decision to take part was also simple. It was entertaining to read. I immediately called after waking up to watch episode 3.
He had a lot of energy for the show. So much so that he didn’t think twice about whether the program would succeed or not; instead, he embraced it because it was fun.
“I didn’t even think about how well it would go. I had no trouble working because I was sure I’d love it, and everyone else on the cast and crew was too.
Ahn Hyo-seop, 27, is the creator of several successful dramas. In Dr. Romantic 2, Abyss, and Lovers of the Red Sky, he displayed his acting prowess.
He rose to fame, nevertheless, thanks to the live rendition of the romantic comedy webtoon Business Proposal. He attracted a lot of attention for his portrayal of the young, sympathetic, and amusing CEO Kang Tae-moo. During the Q&A with Esquire Korea, the interviewer told Ahn Hyo-seop that he reminded him of Kang Tae-moo. He responded by saying,
Although there were a few lines that made me grimace due to the nature of the drama, I think this is why I was complimented on how at ease I felt while playing him. Overall, because our (the character’s and my) emotional trajectories were similar, I felt comfortable reciting those lines.
Ahn Hyo-seop and Kim Se-Jeong, who both gave terrific performances and were unapologetically humorous, are to thank for Business Proposal’s success. The actress’s enthusiasm on set, according to Ahn Hyo-seop, was as follows:
If no one compels me to, I’m not the type to speak first. However, I had a fantastic day thanks to the positive atmosphere created by Kim Se-Jeong and the entire crew.

The final episode of Business Proposal aired in April, but fans’ love for the story and Ahn Hyo-seop continues. The next project for the actor is the Korean adaptation of the well-known Taiwanese drama Someday or One Day, which stars Jeon Yeo-been as Vincenzo.
