Randi and Pat Mahomes welcomed Patrick Mahomes into the world on September 17, 1995. When Patrick was six years old, the couple was divorced, but they stayed close to raise Patrick. I’m still closest friends with his mother, Pat said to Tyler Today.
Patrick had star potential when he was just seven years old, according to Randi. She wanted Patrick to finish college, but he also wanted him to follow his sports goals. Randi and Pat didn’t finish college, therefore she wanted Patrick to surpass their academic accomplishments.
While still in high school, he began earning college credits at Tyler Junior College. I’ll admit it—I’m a proud mother. His physical prowess is something I’m incredibly proud of. I am more pleased with his academic achievements, though.
Mahomes wanted to stop playing football, but Randi persuaded him to stick with it. Mahomes had concerns about football during his junior year of high school, but Randi reassured him that he was on the right track. He approached me that summer wanting to stop playing football, but I simply told him he would regret it if he did, Randi told Fox4.

Pat Mahomes played Major League Baseball for more than ten years. As a result, Patrick developed a passion for the game and began playing baseball in high school and college. “I want him to be humble; That means a lot to me. I always remind him to pray and give thanks to God for his blessings and skills.
