George Carlin passed away in 2008 after years of fighting a heart illness. Due to the serious heart attacks he had in 1978, 1982, and 1991, he was receiving medical attention.
He also underwent two angioplasties, suffered a serious episode of cardiac failure in 2005, and underwent an ablation procedure in 2003 for an arrhythmia.
At Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California, he abruptly passed away from heart failure on June 22, 2008, at the age of 71, as a result of his serious health conditions.
The cause of death was also determined to be heart failure. His family had his body cremated after his death, and they dispersed his ashes in front of many bars in New York City.
