Angie Gentry is the widow of her late husband, Troy Gentry, as of 2019. On December 14, 1999, the pair married in a wedding ceremony in Maui, Hawaii.
Similarly, Kaylee, the couple’s first daughter, was born in 2002. For nearly 18 years, the couple maintained a lovely marriage relationship. During an interview with her late husband, Nashville Parent, Troy stated:
“I’ve matured. I’m becoming more responsible. Previously, I was more concerned with the social scene. I’d rather be at home with my family than out all night now. Of course, Angie and I have date evenings. But because I travel frequently for work, I find comfort here at home.”
Troy had already married his first wife, Kia Gentry, before marrying Angie. The couple also had a son called Taylor. The couple divorced, however, without stating the reason for their divorce.

On September 8, 2017, Angie’s late husband, Troy, had just posted on Twitter about traveling to New Jersey for his performance, but nature had other plans for him.
Troy died in an air disaster on his way to New Jersey by helicopter, leaving his family and wife in mourning.
Angie Gentry Triumphs Over Breast Cancer
In 2014, Gentry was diagnosed with breast cancer. During this time, her late husband, Troy, also uploaded an Instagram photo with Angie with the caption:
“Over the last two weeks, my darling Angie received a diagnosis from her doctor that has shaken our world a little.” She has breast cancer, and we wanted you to know first. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy, and her prognosis is excellent. We’d appreciate it if you could keep her in your prayers throughout the following few months.”
Angie was cured of breast cancer after undergoing chemotherapy and surgery.
