In the next superhero picture, the critically acclaimed American actor Aldis Hodge will portray Carter Hall as Hawkman.
On Friday, October 21, 2022, Black Adam, a new superhero picture starring Dwayne Johnson, will be released in theaters across the United States. Based on the DC Comics character Black Adam, the upcoming film is the eleventh entry of the DCEU (DC Extended Universe).
The script was written by Rory Haines, Adam Sztykiel, and Sohrab Noshirvani, and it was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
The film’s major star, Dwayne Johnson, also works as a producer alongside Hiram Garcia, Beau Flynn, and Dany Garcia. Lawrence Sher acted as the film’s cinematographer, while Lorne Balfe composed the score.
According to the film’s official synopsis:
“In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was entrusted with the gods’ immense abilities. As Black Adam, he was imprisoned after using his abilities for vengeance. Over the course of more than 5,000 years, Black Adam has evolved from man to myth to legend. The contemporary heroes Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone are now challenging his unique brand of justice, which was formed from rage.”
Warner Bros official teaser for the superhero flick featured glimpses of Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall aka Hawkman. Viewers were eager to see what Black Adam, the protagonist, would bring to the table.
In 1995, Aldis Hodge made his acting debut
Aldis Hodge is a talented American actor who previously served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Edwin Hodge, his older brother, is a well-known actor.
As Raymond, Aldis Hodge made his acting debut in the 1995 blockbuster Die Hard with a Vengeance. The 36-year-old actor rose to fame after portraying Alec Hardison in the 2008-2012 television series Leverage.
In addition, he is renowned for his roles as Lieutenant Foxy in A Good Day to Die Hard, MC Ren in Straight Outta Compton, Captain Anthony Espin in Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Brian Banks in Brian Banks, King / Wrecka (voice) in the television series A.T.M., and Jordan / Akinbode in Turn: Washington’s Spies.
Aldis Hodge has also appeared in a number of other films, including The Tenants, American Dreamz, Hidden Figures, Clemency, What Men Want, The Invisible Man, Magic Camp, One Night in Miami…, The Birthday Cake, Big Momma’s Home, Happy Feet, Little Athens, and Red Sands.
The actor has also appeared in notable television series such as Pacific Blue, City of Angels, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, American Dreams, Half & Half, Girlfriends, Friday Night Lights, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, The Blacklist, Black Mirror, City on a Hill, and Leverage: The Series, among others.
In addition to Aldis Hodge and Dwayne Johnson, Noah Centineo, Marwan Kenzari, Sarah Shahi, Quintessa Swindell, and Pierce Brosnan all appear in Black Adam.
