ASAP Rocky Is Charged With Felony Firearm Assault For A 2021 Shooting

A criminal assault with a handgun charge has been brought against ASAP Rocky for his claimed involvement in a shooting event in 2021.

George Gascon, the district attorney for the county of Los Angeles, claims that firing a pistol in a public place is an offense that could have had fatal consequences for the victim and other people present. Additionally, Gascon said:

“My office concluded that the inclusion of a specific firearm charge was warranted after carefully examining the evidence in this case.”

On August 17, Rocky will be arraigned at Foltz Criminal Justice Complex Department 30. According to the LAPD, the shooting investigation is continuing.

There is no information on whether ASAP Rocky will be detained as a result of the new allegations. Rakim Mayers, better known by his stage name ASAP Rocky, was detained in April of this year at the Los Angeles International Airport on suspicion of an armed attack. Later, he was released after posting $550,000 in bond. In November 2021, Mayers was involved in a shooting, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The rapper allegedly pointed a pistol at the victim and discharged two shots at them. Even though nobody was killed, the victim’s left hand was injured, and Mayers and two other people escaped the scene. T

tell Ephron was the victim; he attempted to meet with Mayers to resolve their disagreements but was prevented from doing so when Mayers brandished a gun. Ephron had to go to the hospital for his wounds, and Mayers was accused of battery and assault.

ASAP In 2006, Rocky and rapper Casanova received prison terms for their roles in narcotics dealing. In July 2012, he was detained once more for his claimed involvement in a brawl in midtown Manhattan.

Rocky was arrested for assaulting two photographers who were taking pictures during the episode, and he was sued in July 2012 for assaulting an unnamed individual. After reportedly slapping a woman at the Budweiser Made in America Festival in August 2013, he was charged with misdemeanor simple assault.

Geno Sims, Mayers’ previous manager, then filed a lawsuit against him for breach of contract in September 2015. In July 2019, he was taken into custody once more following a street altercation with Mustafa Jafari and another person. ASAP Rocky, 33, recently put out his debut record, titled Long. Live.
