In Ghostbusters, Kymberly Herrin portrayed a ghost

In the movie Ghostbusters, Kymberly Herrin was well-recognized for playing a ghost. She makes an appearance during Ray Stantz’s sex scene with Dan Aykroyd, perched on top of Ray’s bed just before he unbuckles his belt.

Her persona possesses all the traits of a ghost, including the capacity to fly and the capacity to change into a pink cloud or mist. She was originally supposed to be Ray’s love interest, but her plot was cut to keep the action going.

Optical effects were used to blend Herrin into the Fort Deterring set during the shooting of her scenes at the Entertainment Effects Group. In order to fit Kymberly into a mold created especially for her role, the team had to apply Vaseline all over her body due to the tight fit of her gossamer gown.

Herrin adopted the guise of the Dream Ghost, also known as the Fort Detmerring Ghost. She was the ghost of a woman who had passed away 150 years earlier. Dan Aykroyd, a Canadian actor who co-stars with her in the movie, provided more information about his part to Polygon last year.
