August Alsina references his “entanglement” with Jada Pinkett Smith in his most recent song, Shake the World. This follows Will Smith’s now-famous Oscars jab at Pinkett Smith. As netizens interpret the lyrics to the current song, it has been rumored that the 29-year-old will publish a book about his connection with the host of Red Table Talk.
Tuesday, April 5 saw the release of the R&B artist’s song. He alludes to his relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith in the song:
“I learned that my flight was canceled / Let’s discuss it / Red dot on my back / I became a target / And I’m flawed yet flawless / That’s what makes me August.”
In reference to the Smiths, he sang about the “world’s favorite” band:
“I heard there’s some sh*t about to go down when you got a billion dollars on the elevator / Well, of course some sh*t was bound to go down when you got involved with the world’s most popular.”
The 50-year-old woman acknowledged to having an adulterous affair with the rapper in 2020. She invited her husband, Will Smith, to her show, where they discussed their marriage and August Alsina in front of the entire world.

August Alsina stated in a 2020 interview with the Breakfast Club that he was romantically involved with the Gotham actress. Prior to his marriage to the celebrity, he stated that he had “literally never been in love.” He went on:
“I have devoted years of my life to that relationship, and I sincerely and genuinely adore and have a great deal of affection for her.” I devoted myself to it; I gave it everything I had.”
August Alsina met Jada Pinkett Smith via her son Jaden Smith. She stated on Red Table Talk that she wanted to help the 23-year-old rapper, who was suffering from a congenital liver problem when she met him.
Additionally, Pinkett Smith stated that her “entanglement” with the artist was “certainly” a “relationship” and not a “dalliance.” She went on to explain that the incident occurred during a brief separation from her hubby.
Although Alsina has always felt that Will Smith authorized him to have sexual relations with his wife, the Smiths have absolutely denied that the Oscar winner authorized his wife to have an affair.
After the Red Table Talk episode, “entanglement” soon became a popular online meme. The rapper released a song titled Entanglements in 2020, alluding to the same concept. He sang in it:
Girl, I know we don’t call it a relationship, but you’re still f—king with me.
Since the Alsina-Pinkett Smith relationship has gotten traction on social media, the rapper has commented on it, adding fuel to the fire.
Metro UK reports that the singer will also sign a book deal in which he will discuss his relationship with the Girls Trip star. The newspaper reports that he will sign a six-figure contract for his exposé book.
