Britney Spears’ former business manager, Tri Star Sports & Entertainment Group, has denied claims made by the star’s legal team that the company was personally involved in her conservatorship.
Mathew Rosengart claimed in court documents that the group misled the court about not being involved in Spears’ conservatorship and earning more than $18 million from her 13-year conservatorship. This information was obtained by TMZ. The entertainment company’s attorney, Scott Edelman, addressed these allegations as follows:
This is misleading. The conservatorship was established on the recommendation of legal counsel, not Tri Star, as shown by the evidence, and it was approved by the Court for more than 12 years. When the conservatorship was established, Tri Star was not even its business manager.
Edelman continued by saying that if the statistics are made public, all of the alleged false claims would be proven false.
In court documents, Rosengart also claimed that Jamie Spears, the man who had been Britney Spears’ conservator for 13 years and who had recently been appointed as her daughter’s interim guardian, had taken out $40,000 from Tri Star, which was not a significant sum at the time as it is now.
Another possibility was offered by Mathew Rosengart, who said that Jamie might have struck an agreement with Tri-Star under which both he and Britney’s entertainment company would receive the money. The company has asked the court to deny the application despite the attorney’s request that it give all pertinent records from that period.

The lawyer will be able to assess whether the entertainment company had any participation in Britney Spear’s conservatorship if the records requested by Rosengart are made available to the public. Variety reports that the subsequent hearing will take place on July 13 at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
