Bruce performed as an understudy for James Hayden in David Mamet’s American Buffalo, alongside Al Pacino and J.J. Johnston, at Circle In The Square in 1982, and then replaced Hayden in the ensuing Broadway production. He has a long history of appearing as a guest star in television and films. He made his cinematic debut in 1975 with Barney Miller, for which he had to migrate to New York. Bruce has worked in a number of off-Broadway venues, including Manhattan Theatre Club, Signature Theatre, Playwright’s Horizons, and Cherry Lane.
