American actress Candace Cameron Bure received criticism online when she made polarizing comments about the future of LGBTQIA+ representation on her new network, Great American Family (GAF).
When the 46-year-old diva was questioned on November 14 about whether the network intended to feature same-sex couples as the main characters in a movie, she allegedly responded negatively.
In April 2022, Candace Cameron Bure made the decision to leave Hallmark Media and join Bill Abbott, the former CEO of Crown Media, at his new company. The actress spent nearly 13 years working on 30 Hallmark movies before receiving an executive job at GAF.
Additionally, her new position required her to contribute content to the network. In January 2020, Bill Abbott left Hallmark and Crown Media for banning a Zola commercial that showed two women kissing.
