It is well known that Carole Hoff was the second wife of the late serial killer John Wayne Gacy, also referred to as “Killer Clown.” Thirty-three boys and men were raped, tortured, and killed by her ex-husband, John. Carole’s precise birth year is still unknown, but as of 2022, it’s thought she’ll most likely be in her late 70s. In addition, Hoff is a member of the White ethnic group and an American national.

John, her late ex-partner, was born in Chicago, Illinois, in the United States, in 1942.

Her ex-husband Gacy suffered physical abuse as a child from his father.

Gacy, the ex-husband of Carole, experienced a difficult upbringing due to his father’s violent actions. Gacy was terrified his whole life because of his father’s alcoholism. John was raised knowing from an early age that his father would whip him with a leather belt for even the smallest of transgressions.

Gacy endured verbal as well as physical abuse at the hands of his father. His father frequently called him names like “dumb” and “stupid,” and he also made disparaging comparisons to his sisters.

John also suffered from cardiac problems and was discreetly subjected to sexual abuse as a child by a contractor and family friend. Hoff’s second husband, Gacy, truly had a bizarre upbringing amid all of these physical and psychological traumas, and he went on to become America’s most infamous abuser and murderer.

What Is Carole Hoff’s Line of Work?

As previously stated, Hoff’s public persona only emerged during her union with serial murderer John Gacy. Therefore, the majority of her life is mysterious, particularly the specifics related to her career.

However, John, Carole’s ex-husband, was an aspirational and career-focused individual before he ventured into the realm of crime. He was a true achiever. Before his imprisonment, Gacy held positions as a manager, vice president, and salesperson at several different companies, including KFC, a clothes store, and a shoe company.

John Wayne Gacy’s second ex-wife is Carole Hoff; how did they meet?

Carole and her husband John Wayne Gacy were joined in marriage in a small ceremony on July 1, 1972. Following their nuptials, a newlywed couple moved into the ranch house John had purchased in the Cook County community of Norridge, which is located in the metropolitan Chicago area.

The pair was incredibly close from an early age. In actuality, John and Hoff knew each other as teenagers since Carole was friends with Karen, the sister of Gacy. Carole even went on a date with John when she was just sixteen years old. However, the two split up a few years after their affair began, and they both later married different people.

However, Carole filed for divorce from her first husband at the end of 1971. Following her divorce from her first husband, she went to see Gacy and his mother with her two girls. Carole and her girls were treated with great kindness at the time by the mother-and-son team. Carole eventually rekindled her romance with John, her childhood sweetheart, and they were married.

Before they were married, Carole’s husband Gacy came out as bisexual in front of her.

Gacy and his mother provided Carole with a lot of assistance following her divorce from her first husband. As a single mother raising her two girls, they became like a rock for her. By this point, Gacy’s mother had approached Carole about getting married to Gacy.

As previously mentioned, Gacy disclosed his bisexuality to Carole a few days before their nuptials, but she chose to disregard it, interpreting it as a jest.

What Caused Carole and John to Part Way? Was John’s Sexuality a Factor?

Carole did not receive from her husband the emotional or physical fulfillment that a wife deserves during their marriage to John. She claimed that following their marriage, they hardly had any physical contact and that her ex-spouse had a disordered sexual relationship with women.

In actuality, John felt little affection towards his wife and was more interested in guys. He used to spend his days and nights away from the house most of the time.

Carole began to notice odd things happening around the house and with her now-deceased partner over time. During their time together, she revealed in an interview that she frequently discovered wallets in John’s car that appeared to belong to teenage guys.

Her spouse used to become enraged with her anytime she attempted to inquire about this. She said,

He smashed a lot of my stuff and would toss it. I now believe that if there were any killings, they had to have happened when I was residing in that home.

Carole filed for divorce from her husband in the midst of all of this, claiming Gacy’s extramarital affairs. Four years after their marriage, in March 1976, their divorce was finally formalized after they had parted with mutual consent.

The Husband and Wife Had Previous Marriages

Carole was married to her first husband, whose name is yet unknown before she married John. John, who is married to Carole’s second husband, was first married to Marlynn Myers, whose father owned three KFC locations in Waterloo, Iowa, where John worked as a manager.

The infamous murderer and Myers had two children together: Michael Gacy, a son, and Christine Gacy, a daughter.

John, Carole’s former spouse, was a renowned serial killer.

John killed at least 33 adults and teenage boys during his criminal rampage. John’s criminal history predated his marriage to Carole. He was detained by police on suspicion of sexually assaulting a fifteen-year-old child.

John received a ten-year prison sentence for his assault of a teenage boy. Fortunately, though, the court eventually gave him release. He later went back to Chicago, where he eventually ran across Hoff, his future wife.

He had already slain a youngster and buried him on the property of the home where the couple was living before he married her. John has been actively killing and abusing minors since 1972. Police discovered multiple deceased bodies buried in his home after conducting a thorough search of the area.

On March 13, 1980, the jury sentenced him to death for his infamous crime. On May 10, 1994, John, who had been on death row, was ultimately put to death by lethal injection.

Following her union with John, her subsequent spouse welcomed these two young daughters into their home and they moved in together. They did not, however, have any children together.

In 2022, will Hoff still be alive?

Following her criminal husband’s arrest and execution, Carole Hoff made a few appearances in the media for an exclusive interview. Hoff even made an appearance in a few documentaries about the life and crimes of John.

Other than that, Hoff has never been exposed by the press. She therefore has no idea what her current situation is. All we can conclude is that, up until no news of her passing appeared in the media, she was most likely enjoying her golden years in some part of her home country.
