Chokehold, Netflix’s next Turkish thriller film, will premiere on the streaming service on Friday, April 21, at 3 a.m. ET (tentative time). The plot revolves around a couple who relocate to a new village on the Aegean coast in order to avoid a scandal.
They quickly realize, however, that the residents of the town want to get rid of them, turning their lives into living nightmares. The main characters are played by Kivanç Tatlitug and Funda Eryigit, with many others playing important supporting roles. It was directed by Onur Saylak, and the screenplay was written by Hakan Gunday.

On April 14, 2023, Netflix released the official trailer for Chokehold, which depicts several pivotal events in the upcoming film. The trailer starts with a chilling sentence that perfectly sets the tone of the film:
