Chrissy Teigen, a popular model and television personality, recently announced the birth of her third child on January 13, 2023, with her husband John Legend.
At a private ceremony, John announced the news, saying it was a “wonderful day” and that, despite being unable to sleep, he is feeling better after being in the hospital for a long time. Those in attendance immediately shared the news on social media, expressing their happiness for the couple.
Chrissy and John had been looking forward to the arrival of their child for quite some time. In a previous interview with People, John stated that everyone is overjoyed and that his two older children are old enough to understand what is going on and are excited to have a new brother.
Chrissy previously stated that the couple chose IVF and received positive results after nine days. She told the publication:
“They knew I was going in for the transfer, that we were going in to put this egg into Mommy’s tummy. So they knew from the start that there was a chance it wouldn’t work because it had happened before.”
When Chrissy announced her pregnancy in August 2022, she said her children were overjoyed and that this would be their longest pregnancy.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend first met in 2006 while filming Stereo, Legend’s music video. Teigen revealed to Cosmopolitan that they reconnected in 2014. The two stayed in touch for a long time, and Legend was seen on the red carpet with other ladies at several events. Teigen stated in a Cosmopolitan interview:
“I let him be himself for a while. The worst thing you can do is attempt to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, ‘There’s so much more out there. For a long time, I kept my cool.’ ‘Who are we?’ I never asked. Marriage was never my goal because I was never the typical person. “It felt great to be with him.”
Among the celebrities who attended the couple’s wedding in 2013 were Kanye West and Stevie Wonder. Their daughter Luna was born in April 2016, and their son Miles was born in May 2018.
Legend told Today in 2018 that he and Teigen appreciate each other and enjoy being in each other’s company. Teigen, he says, makes him laugh all the time, and she is attentive and kind with a great sense of humor.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend lost their third child in 2020 due to pregnancy complications. Teigen also shared some hospital photos and stated that after learning that the baby would not survive, she had to make some difficult decisions.

“It became clear about halfway through that he would not survive, and that I would not survive if medical assistance was not provided.”
Chrissy Teigen revealed a few weeks before her loss in a blog post that she had been induced to give birth 20 weeks after being diagnosed with partial placental abruption. Her bleeding worsened, and she was admitted to the hospital, she said.
Blood transfusions were tried, but they had little effect on the condition. Teigen stated at a press conference following the Roe v. Wade decision that her loss was an abortion.
