Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder are expecting their second child. Somerhalder rose to prominence in The Vampire Diaries as Damon Salvatore.
Nikki Reed, on the other hand, has yet to appear on the show. Somerhalder shared the news on Instagram, alongside a photo of Reed clutching her baby belly in a red dress. The post’s title was:
“I’ve always wanted a big family since I was a kid. Thank you for the gift, Nik. ROUND TWO HAS ARRIVED!!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for the gift of life and love, for being the best mother ever and working so hard to make dreams come true!!! ”
Reed also shared the news on Instagram, posting the same photo and commenting that she has been looking forward to this moment for a long time and that it is the best gift she has ever received. She continued, saying:
“As you are all aware, I have extremely strict limits when it comes to social media, particularly when it comes to children and what I choose to make public. Thank you for doing so, as well as for providing hope, compassion, and LOVE. Some things are simply too lovely to be kept to themselves.”
Bodhi, Ian Somerhalder, and Nikki Reed’s second child were born in July 2017.

Nikki Reed made her film debut in the adolescent drama Thirteen in 2013. The film was a box office success, and Reed and Catherine Hardwicke were lauded for completing it in six days.
