Before meeting his wife Kristen Bell, 41, in 2007, Dax Shepard, 47, revealed some shocking details about his prior relationships.
On the most recent episode of his podcast Armchair Expert, which aired last Monday, Shepard opened up to co-host Monica Padman about his interactions with former child actress Ashley Olsen, 35.
Shepard described how he was “thunderstruck” by Olsen’s beauty when they first met when reflecting on his prior relationship. The actor said the following to Padman regarding Olsen, who he started dating “15 (or) 16 years” ago:
During a conversation about Padman’s fondness for the clothing line The Row owned by the Olsen twins, Shepard revealed to his co-host:
Ashley Olsen is the most amazing woman I’ve ever dated, hands down. She is incredible.
Shepard told Padman that Olsen was “simply incredibly humorous, sarcastic, and sharp,” acknowledging that many people found their pairing to be “very weird.” He added that he had never observed his ex on Full House and stated the following:
Thankfully, I never watched the program. But if I had known Ashley when she was a baby, I doubt I could have been pulled to her.
The father of two noted that since he was present when Olsen and her twin sister Mary-Kate started their clothing line, he appreciates hearing from Padman about its success. He declared:
“She was putting all of her labor and effort into launching it in a big way when we were dating. It was quite impressive to witness her interact with design teams, run her s***, and manage her business.
Shepard recalled how they became close because of their shared passion of automobiles by revealing that Olsen had a black Cadillac DeVille DTS throughout their courtship. The actor continued by saying that the Olsen twins are “f***ing tremendous bosses.”
“I’d like to get in touch with her again to see whether she has that DTS.”
Following his 2013 marriage to Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard moved on. Lincoln, 8, and Delta, 7, are the couple’s two children, who they now have as parents.
