The 26-year-old actress, Demi Burnett who appeared on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor in 2019, shared the news on Instagram alongside a series of slides describing autism and how to assist someone with the disorder.
A “trigger warning” was also placed in the post, just in case. Burnett wants a better quality of life and promised her followers she would divulge more of her story and how she “arrived at this place” in the future.
The graphics in the thread described the autism spectrum, how to assist a neurodiverse individual, the definition of ableism, a comparison chart of autistic tendencies and trauma symptoms, and much more.
After Burnett’s diagnosis, many members of the Bachelor Nation, including Onyeka Ehie, Kirpa Sudick, and Maurissa Gunn, expressed their support for her.
According to the CDC, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a developmental impairment that can cause social, communication, and behavioral issues in which the individual interacts, behaves, or learns differently than others.

The reality star, who was born in Red Oak, Texas on February 21, 1982, is 26 years old. After being eliminated from Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, during which she became engaged to Kristian Haggerty, she appeared on Season 6 of Bachelor In Paradise.
As they became the first same-sex couple to participate in the program, they made history. They ended their engagement in October 2019.
She began dating the renowned musician Slater Davis, with whom she dated for a few months before breaking up. In a June 2020 interview with Entertainment Tonight, she revealed:
“I am infatuated with him. He is the greatest ever. He’s the most wonderful person I’ve ever met, and I can’t get enough of him.”

In a now-deleted Instagram post from January 2022, Burnett made her mental health problem public by declaring that she was experiencing emotional breakdowns every several hours. She declared:
“This will be the hardest thing I’ve ever posted, and I’m so embarrassed, but I’m going, to be honest.” My ego is outraged. This is me twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. I’m not doing anything to make others envious, nor am I ‘happy’ or friendly. I am constantly pondering, crying, and attempting to comprehend what is going on.”
Burnett stated in another post that she was receiving professional therapy and doing well. On Instagram, where she has over a million followers, she promotes a variety of fashion, beauty, and travel enterprises.
Demi is a proud Texan country girl who grew up in the countryside. She enjoys ATV riding, fishing, and watching WWE, according to ABC.
