He is best known for his role as Alexander Tig Trager in the FX series Sons of Anarchy. His guest appearances on shows such as Prison Break, Cold Case, CSI, CSI: Miami, and others.

Before landing his first recognized role in the parody Palais Royale, he worked as a backup carpenter in a few films. In A Streetcar Named Desire, he played Stanley Kowalski.

He was the youngest actor to play Macbeth at his native Canada’s Stratford Festival at the time. Kim made his film debut in 1986 with The Boy in Blue, which launched his career, and he has since appeared in over 100 films.
