KTVU-TV uploaded silent surveillance video online that showed a man walking into a room with more than a dozen others seated at a table.
A man entered the Schneerson Center synagogue in San Francisco on Wednesday night. The synagogue is predominantly used by Russian-speaking Jews. He probably fired some blank rounds into the air.
Despite the fact that no one was wounded, the incident angered the gathering.

Police have captured a guy who is allegedly responsible for shootings inside a San Francisco synagogue.
Surveillance footage showed a man wearing a baseball cap, a jacket, and sneakers entering into a room with over a dozen people sat at a table. He made his way to the door, saluted the elderly man, and then stepped out before grabbing a revolver and firing, the fake hand motions.
Although they appeared to remain calm, the people at the table were apparently shocked, according to the rabbi. There have been no reports of injuries or property damage, but investigators believe the individual used blanks.
Dmitri Mishin, the suspect, has been detained
On Friday night in the Richmond District, suspect Dmitri Mishin was detained on suspicion of disturbing a religious assembly, brandishing a toy pistol, and stopping someone from partaking in a religious ceremony.
Dmitri Mishin of San Francisco was detained without bond following his arrest just before 2:30 a.m. on Saturday, according to the San Francisco Sheriff’s Office.
It was unknown at the time if he had legal counsel to defend him.
Mishin is suspected of entering the Schneerson Center on Balboa Street on Wednesday at or shortly before 7:30 p.m., which houses social gatherings and religious instruction for the local Russian Jewish population.

San Francisco resident Dmitri Mishin was detained without bail after being taken into custody on Saturday just before 2:30 a.m.
It was unknown at the time if he had legal counsel to defend him.
Investigators established probable cause and searched the suspect’s house to obtain a search warrant. During the search, evidence was discovered and taken.
Junior rabbi and Schneerson Center vice president Alon Chanukov says he believes the attack was planned. He explained that because the individual spoke Russian and was taken to be a nice visitor, the congregation did not immediately react to the firing.
On Tuesday night, a guy entered a cinema near the synagogue brandishing a firearm, and police said Mishin is also suspected in the incident.
Neither event, according to the police, involved any injuries. After his arrest, investigators examined his residence and discovered evidence linking Mishin to both incidents, the Police said on Saturday.
Unknown is whether a gun was also discovered. The investigation is still ongoing despite the arrest of a person.
