Michael Rosen was hospitalized in March 2020, during the global pandemic, for a possible Covid-19 virus infection.
The author apparently battled the sickness for 47 days while being kept alive in the intensive care unit. His medical professional estimated a 50/50 probability of survival.
The author admitted that hearing his son’s voice startled him awake during an interview on Lorraine. He said that his wife, Emma-Louise Williams, had played videos of their kids in the morning on her phone.
He was awakened by his son’s call of “hi, dad.” In June of the same year, the author returned home. Since his return, two years had passed.

Michael has just recently begun to accept his altered physical state. He asserted that the brain must adjust to changes in the body.
The author of The Sad Book nevertheless seems cheerful about everything, particularly the eye. He continued by saying that a patch would be much nicer for me to wear.
But he claimed he didn’t want to walk around with a patch on. He recalled the students to whom he had occasionally read his poems and responded, “I do not fancy it.”
Meet the Michael Rosen Kids
Michael Rosen, a well-known novelist, is the delighted father of five kids.
In 1999, the author tragically lost his 18-year-old son. Eddie’s death was covered in his “Sad Book.” He went on to describe Eddie Rosen’s passing.
Once, Eddie groused about having a headache. The following morning, Rosen found his infant boy’s body, cold and frozen.
The emergency call operator told the author to take Eddie out of bed and place him in recovery on the floor after hearing about the incident.
At the time, Rosen was aware of this, but he was unaware that his son had passed away. The paramedics on the site confirmed Eddie’s death. Rosen witnessed them lead his son downstairs while carrying a body bag.
The author remembered the horrible sound of the bag being zipped up in the story.

Michael Rosen had three previous marriages. He was married for the first time to Elizabeth Susanna Steele. From 1976 to 1987, the pair was wed.
Geraldine Clark and Mr. Rosen were married for a second time in 1987; they divorced in 1997.
