On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 27, around 12.30 pm, the body of Dr. Bolek Payan, a doctor who had been reported missing in Michigan, was found in an icy pond in Jackson County.

Before his absence was reported, according to the local authorities, Payan had already died.

“On Thursday, at eight o’clock, Bolek left his dogs. He had already fed them when he stated he would pick them up at 6:30. He’ll feed them once more when he picks them up that evening at 6:30. Therefore, for his pickup to be here without him coming to the house to retrieve the dogs would be unexpected. Something happened, but I’m not sure what.
Finding the doctor is being aided by Sergeant Steve Stowe. This is as a result of the doctor’s family making arrangements to see him.
According to Stowe, they are putting in more effort and have engaged search dogs to aid in the search. They take every precaution to make sure they search everywhere they can for him.

At 12:30 pm on Monday, divers from Jackson County discovered Dr. Bolek Payan’s body in an icy pond after investigators obtained security footage from the physician’s residence.
This footage, according to the Blackman-Leoni Township Department of Public Safety, shows Payan leaving his house on Thursday afternoon.
According to the department of public safety, police personnel, dogs, and drones scoured the area around Payan’s house. After that, officials drilled holes through the pond’s top layer of ice.
Detectives believe Payan passed away before the day he was reported missing because of the harsh weather and the fact that his body was discovered in the water.

Dr. Bolek Payan earned his medical degree from the Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2017. In 2020, he started his residency at Henry Ford Health.
He became a board-certified psychiatrist at Henry Ford Health after finishing his residency.
