On December 27, 2022, the news broke as Shawn Johnson’s father-in-law passed away peacefully.
He was healthy and cheerful around Christmas, so his passing came as a complete shock. He was with his family when they received the unexpected news of his passing.
Although the cause of his death has not been established, it appears that he died naturally.
Guy East was a devoted father and grandfather who was always there for his offspring.
East was a lovely, compassionate, and caring man who got along well with everyone in the family. He supported the career choices of his children and grandchildren.
Hearing the news was terrible because he was a dear friend of the entire family.
They posted the news on social media, and many of his worried relatives sent their condolences to him and his family as well as a close friend.
His family, friends, and partner were all present during his funeral, and everyone was encircled.

Both have ended their careers; East did so in 2022 as a long football snapper.
And in 2012, Johnsons, his wife, ceased competing as a gymnast. Despite having retired, they are still working in a different capacity and spending more time with their family.
