Former American football player Eli Manning played quarterback. In the National Football League (NFL), he spent 16 seasons playing with the New York Giants.
Eli Manning is a member of the football dynasty and the youngest son of renowned quarterback Archie Manning.
He is also the younger brother of Peyton Manning. In his last season of NCAA football at Ole Miss, Eli Manning won the Maxwell and Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Awards.
The San Diego Chargers selected him first overall in the 2004 NFL Draft, and they eventually traded him to the Giants.

Eli Manning is the third child born to Mississippi natives Olivia (née Williams) and NFL quarterback Elisha Archibald “Archie” Manning III. When they were younger, Peyton and Cooper, his elder brothers, played football.
While attending the Isidore Newman School in New Orleans, Manning participated in both basketball and football with the Greenies.
In high school, Eli Manning had thrown for 7,389 yards and 89 touchdowns. He decided to play collegiate football at the University of Mississippi on February 7, 1999.
Eli Manning entered college in the shadow of his father, an Ole Miss “folk hero,” and his brother Peyton, the Indianapolis Colts quarterback.
While playing with the Rebels, Manning broke or equaled 45 single-game, season, and career records.
He is third on the SEC lifetime chart (tied for sixth on the SEC career list) with 10,119 passing yards, a passer rating of 137.7, and 81 touchdown passes.

Eli Manning proposed to Nashville, Tennessee native Abby McGrew in 2007. Since they were both attending the University of Mississippi, Manning and McGrew have been dating. McGrew went to New York City’s fashion institute.
On April 19, 2008, the pair exchanged vows in San José del Cabo, Mexico, during a private ceremony. Three girls and a son were born to Manning and Abby.
Their headquarters are located in Summit, New Jersey. After Hurricane Katrina, Eli and Peyton Manning donated their time by volunteering.
The Mannings helped send 30,000 pounds (14,000 kg) of goods to the citizens of New Orleans, including water, Gatorade, infant formula, pumice, and pillows.
To build “The Eli Manning Children’s Clinics” at the Blair E. Batson Hospital, he launched a five-year fundraising campaign in 2007 to generate $2,5 million USD. This is for the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s pediatric patients.
“I am humbled by their work and am honored to make this five-year commitment to assist in raising money for the construction of this state-of-the-art clinic that will serve Mississippi families for years to come,” Manning said in 2007.
His father, Archie Manning, has also contributed financially to the Katrina relief effort.
