Erich announced his split a day after Gabby on DWTS (Dancing With the Stars.). On November 15, 2022, Erich from Bachelor Nation took to Instagram Stories to address his divorce from his ex-fiancée. He stated, “
“Many of you have contacted me with questions about Gabby and myself. We were never each other’s [sic] people, which is difficult to pinpoint when there is nothing to point to.”
He continued, saying:
“We met in an unusual situation and method, and I’m glad we did.” “I’d never do it again.”
Erich and Gabby met and got engaged on season 19 of The Bachelorette. However, less than two months after getting engaged, the couple called it quits in the season finale.

Erich has no ill will toward Gabby despite their traumatic separation because she is a “wonderful person,” and he will always cheer for her. He stated, ”
“I’m hoping she destroys them in the DWTS finals.”
He even stated that, following the split, he uses his “experiences and failures” to improve himself on a daily basis. Gabby, the former Bachelorette, opened up about her divorce from Erich on Monday’s episode of DWTS, explaining why their relationship didn’t work out. She stated:
“[Love] holds a special place in my heart because I recently went through a breakup.” Our relationship ended because we weren’t entirely on the same page about our mutual goals or how we approached life. “We weren’t the best match for each other.”
On The Bachelorette, Erich, and Gabby got engaged
Erich and Gabby first met on season 19 of The Bachelorette. Gabby worked hard to find love on Clayton Echard’s season of The Bachelor before taking part in The Bachelorette, but she was ultimately disappointed. She was certain she’d meet her perfect boyfriend on The Bachelorette. Gabby was set on Erich, a real estate expert, after meeting a slew of potential suitors on the dating show.
Erich expressed his feelings to Gabby and proposed to her during the two-part September 20 show, saying he is “head over heels in love” with her and “wants to spend the rest of his life” with her. Gabby accepted the proposal, and the couple married live on air. Erich initially backed Gabby on DWTS several times. Gabby was seen wearing her engagement ring to multiple tapings of the dance show shortly after, implying their breakup.
The former couple had been through a lot of ups and downs even before they split up. Erich was chastised for wearing blackface in his high school yearbook during their relationship. He eventually apologized for his previous actions, but it had a negative impact on his relationship with Gabby.
