Ernie Lee Brown Sr. and Lola Brown welcomed their son Ernie Brown Jr. into the world on March 28, 1965, in Kentucky.
When he was seven years old, the 57-year-old, who spends most of his time outside, caught his first snapping turtle. He later acquired a 50-pound turtle and gave it to the Louisville Zoo when he was 12 years old.
Brown has caught about 12,000 turtles throughout his career, giving him the nickname “Turtleman.” He posted videos on YouTube under this persona, and they immediately gained a lot of popularity.
Animal Planet contacted him about a program because of his popularity on the website. The Turtleman of Wild Kentucky, a 12-episode series that the network decided to air with Brown and was afterward dubbed Call of the Wildman, was chosen by the network.
The new nickname was given to Brown as a result of his peculiar cry after successfully capturing a snapping turtle. The show ran for four seasons from 2011 to 2014, with “Banjoman” Neal James making frequent appearances.
Courtney and Megan Brown are the two children of Brown and his ex-wife Debbie Brown. Although Debbie has custody of both daughters, they are very close and take care of them together.
The girls’ early years were challenging. Megan experiences facial and neck paralysis, whilst Courtney has had type 1 diabetes since she was six years old. Brown puts a lot of effort into raising money and awareness for kids with juvenile diabetes. Additionally, according to Celebrity Net Worth, Brown has a million-dollar net worth.
Brown claimed to his followers that the mishap happened while he was felling a tree. He continued by claiming that as he was cutting down the tree, a different branch came crashing down from 50 feet above, striking him “across the neck and shoulders.” He then started making jokes, like he often did.
Right now, I’ll admit that I broke that leg in two. Despite being knocked out for two minutes, I managed to recover the leg. It might have been a draw, but I’m not sure who won.
His body, notably his heart, and chest, have been examined by doctors using various tests and x-rays. The actor recovered from COVID a month ago when he was discharged from the hospital in January 2022. Brown playfully compared this incident to every one of his other blunders. He stated:
“It was one of my hardest blows yet. This one, which succeeded in defeating the bull, is currently the greatest. It was superior to my chainsaw cut and the car catastrophe.
He needed more than 190 stitches after a man struck him in the face with a chainsaw and swung it around. In Ohio, he was struck in the face by a piece of scrap metal and was involved in a major car accident.
The “Turtleman,” also known as Ernie Brown Jr., was recently hurt in a “serious accident” in which he fractured a bone in addition to other wounds. He informed his followers of the incident through a Facebook live broadcast while resting in a hospital bed. A tree branch the size of Brown’s leg had fallen on him, he said, making it the worst accident of his life. He clarified,
“In my arm, I have one broken bone. My heart is pounding. A branch from a tree the size of my leg struck me.
Global fans sent their best wishes for the Call of the Wild actor’s quick recovery.
