In 2022, Bailey Zimmerman entered the country music industry after signing with Warner Music Nashville. The native of Louisville has had two radio hits, with “Fall in Love” making history as the quickest debut single to reach number one since 2015.
At the forthcoming Academy of Country Music Awards, he is up for Best New Male Artist.
It’s that time of year again, when the Academy of Country Music Awards are about to air, and everyone is curious about who will take home the trophies.
Bailey Zimmerman, a 23-year-old singer, is one of the most intriguing new nominees for Best New Male Artist. This past year, the young and talented musician exploded onto the country music landscape, impressing many.
With “Fall in Love” making history as the fastest debut single to reach the top of the charts, it’s easy to see why he’s receiving so much attention and why he may win an ACM award when the ceremony takes place live on May 11.
At the 2023 CMT Awards, he was nominated for two awards, including Male Breakthrough Video of the Year and Male Video of the Year for “Fall in Love,” one month prior to the ACMs. Although he did not win, his two nominations demonstrated that he has left an indelible mark on the industry, and he will likely continue to do so as he releases more epic music.

Bailey took to Instagram after receiving the news to thank his fans, writing, “Big thanks to all of y’all who have made this possible, without each and every one of you, I would not be the man I am today.” He added, “Also, a tremendous amount of gratitude to the radio personnel who have believed in me and this music. Salut to 2023!”

He is a daddy’s child
Bailey enjoys including his mother in his Instagram posts. In one, he and the young parent appreciate seeing his name and face on a massive billboard while celebrating his rising fame. “MOMMA WE MADE IT,” he wrote in the video’s caption.

His first hit was actually a combination of two tracks
Bailey disclosed that “Fall in Love” was originally composed of two tracks that he and his co-writer, Gavin Lucas, had been kicking around. “I don’t even really know when, but it was before the winter of 2021,” he told ABC News about when the song was composed. Therefore, it was as if one day we simply combined two melodies that Gavin had written into one song.
