The official description and teaser offer fans hints and insights into what to expect from the upcoming series. The audience appears to be in for a thrilling roller coaster ride as the father-daughter team embarks on a fascinating series of adventures as undercover CIA operatives. Arnold Schwarzenegger, the series’ lead actor, told Netflix’s Tudum:
“Everywhere I go, people ask when I’ll be doing another big action comedy like True Lies,…So, here it is.”
Santora, the showrunner and creator of the series, has also spoken to Tudum about the project, noting:
“By far the strangest project of my career,…I grew up watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies — I’d beg my father for a few dollars so I could go to the movies and see the greatest actor in the world on the big screen — so being a part of Arnold’s first written television project is incredibly exciting for me.”
He continued, saying:
“I’ve always admired Arnold Schwarzenegger’s ability to be funny while still kicking ass… that’s why I wanted FUBAR to be a hilarious CIA-spy comedy mixed with heart-stopping action!” And it is all of these things — and so much more. I’d like to go into greater depth, but it’s classified.”
