BLINKs could not contain their excitement at Damiano David’s desire to collaborate with their favorite band and have been gushing about how entertaining the resulting music would be.
The idea of Rosé channeling her inner rock star as a result of this collaboration also heightened their enthusiasm. Since the release of Pink Venom, fans have been unable to get over Rosé’s punk-rock persona, where she caught everyone’s attention with her edgy dress and electric guitar style.
In addition, Rosé’s supporters have long urged for her to record a pop-rock song, as they believe her distinctive voice would be a perfect fit for the genre.
BLACKPINK dominates at the VMAs
BLACKPINK seized the show at the VMAs, despite it being their first time performing at the prestigious award ceremony. After other celebrities revealed that they were huge BLACKPINK fans, the group’s popularity increased.
Taylor Swift gave them a standing ovation and was pictured dancing with actor Dylan O’Brien to their song Pink Venom. The latter, who had previously expressed adoration for Lisa, did not waste the opportunity, shouting,
“I adore Lisa.”
Dove Cameron, a singer, and actress were also spotted applauding after Lisa won the award for best K-pop song. Sabrina Carpenter, a singer, and actor had a Blink moment when she expressed her want to meet them and was able to take a photo with Rosé at the after-party.
Attending the ceremony, Australian-American singer Betty Who expressed her want to have a photo with them and pronounced Jisoo to be her favorite.
Others who supported the quartet and revealed their inner fans were Lizzo, Khalid, Lil Nas X, Bebe Rexha, Max Martin, Nicki Minaj, Jack Harlow, and Anitta. BORN PINK, BLACKPINK’s second full-length album, will be released on September 16th.
The group’s pre-release single, Pink Venom, smashed many records. They are already the female group in K-pop history with the most stock pre-orders.
YG Entertainment has stated that the group will embark on the greatest global tour ever undertaken by a K-pop girl group in the preparation for the group’s homecoming.
