After facing an unspecified chronic illness, Halima Abubakar has decided to discontinue her professional career.
She has lupus, according to 247 News, although this has not yet been verified by a formal source. According to the website, she had been battling lupus since 2016, when she was first diagnosed with lymphoma cancer on September 23, 2019.
After Halima passed out during her father’s burial in November 2016 after a protracted journey from the United States to Nigeria, doctors allegedly made the diagnosis.
Unfortunately, her health has deteriorated and she has been unable to work for more than four years.
The actress’s illness was revealed by her family last year. She received terrible news from her management team as well.
She expressed gratitude for the support and prayers of her followers on social media and pledged to put her health first.
God bless you everyone, but she won’t be acting as of right now. It is her request,” the message continued, noting that it was a difficult decision.
Battle Still Going On With Apostle Johnson
As Halima Abubakar becomes embroiled in a protracted argument with Apostle Johnson, it is thought that her health would progressively worsen.
After disclosing her claimed intimate involvement with Apostle Johnson Suleman, the founder and senior pastor of OFM (Omega Fire Ministries), Halima recently came back into the public eye.
Johnson was forewarned by the actress and her family that he would be held accountable if anything bad happened to her.
Many Nollywood actresses were allegedly involved in the priest’s extramarital encounters last year, including well-known names like Halima Abubakar, Queen Nwokoye, Shan George, and Vivian Metchie.
Some of them used social media in July to refute the accusations. Johnson, for his part, denied the accusations, saying the list was an effort in vain to discredit him.
Halima has come forward, admitting to the act, however. She also provided screenshots of their conversations, claiming that she did so 11 years ago when the pastor misled her about his marital status.
She further claimed that the clergyman had broken his pledge to wed her.
He reportedly proposed to the actress over seven times throughout their relationship, and even met her parents for an introduction, according to more recent revelations.
She revealed that throughout her four-year period of bleeding, she had lost three pregnancies with him.
Johnson has sued Halima for N 1 billion in response to the accusations, claiming that they are untrue, malicious, defamatory, and intended to blackmail her.
