Hansel Robles- Professional Career

Hansel began his professional career as a free agent with the New York Mets in 2008. He began his career in the minor levels with teams such as the Dominican Summer League Mets, the Kingsport Mets, the Brooklyn Cyclones, the Gulf Coast League Mets, the St Lucas Mets, and the Birmingham Mets. Robles first appeared in the major leagues in 2015, when he made his debut against the New York Yankees. However, in a game against the Philadelphia Phillies, his rapid pitch nearly harmed the hitter, and he was suspended for three games after receiving warnings. He also pitched in the Division Series and the World Series, maintaining excellent records and performances and finishing the season with a 3.67 ERA.

He was unable to play in the first few games of the next season due to a prolonged ban, and he was demoted to AAA in 2017 due to his poor performance. During the 2018 season, he was promoted and had a 5.03 ERA. He was claimed by the Los Angeles Angels after being waived in 2018, and he pitched 37 bullpen pitches in 36 1/3 innings. Hansel maintained his form the next season, but was once again dismissed by the squad. Recently, he was signed by the Minnesota Twins in 2020 and pitched 45 games with a 4.91 ERA before being traded and eventually joining the Boston Red Sox squad in 2021. He is a pitcher for the team and is presently playing in the minor leagues.
