Who is Hariprasad Swamiji?
He reportedly had therapy for a renal condition at the age of 87. Even though he passed away at a Vadodra private hospital. At 11 am, his dead body was delivered to the Sokhna.
He was reportedly sick for a very long period. As soon as word of his passing spread, followers not only in Gujarat but also all across the world expressed their sorrow at losing their guru.
Additionally, it was reported that his mortal remains will be held on the grounds of the Swaminarayan temple at Sokhda for four days so that his supporters and devotees could pay their respects and honor. According to the ancient Hindu religion, the final rites would be held on August 1.

– On May 23, 1934, the Indian evangelist was born. He was 87 years of age. Swamiji lived as a monk for over 56 years. In 1965, when he was 31 years old, he began all of this. In the Salvi district, close to the Vaakal region of Vadodara, in the tiny village of Asoj, Swamiji was born.
He was given the name Prabhudas, which means devotee of God, in honor of his Virgo zodiac sign. He completed his foundational education in Asoj before relocating to Anand, Gujarat, to live with his sister’s spouse and complete his matriculation at Sharda-Mandir School. After that, he enrolled in the later-Science program at Vallabh-N.V. Vidyanagar’s Science College.
Along with his education, he also practiced religion. Every evening, he would visit the shrine of Hanuman Ji to conduct Pradakshina. He read the Bhagwat Gita, a sacred text composed by 24 distinct authors, 24 times.
Hariprasad Ji Maharaj was born into a long-standing Vaishnava family. His father’s name was Gopaldas, and his mother’s name was Kashiba (mother). His mother used to live a very pious and intensely religious life. He had a sister, although we are not told her name.
The residents of Asoj village allege that he is the result of a blessing given to this community a few years ago by Brahm Swaroop Shastriji Maharaj, who promised to return with a heavenly soul and transform this community into a sacred site for pilgrimage.
He first entered into a union with Yogiji Maharaj in Revandas’s Khadaki in 1953 after completing his schooling. After that, Yogiji Maharaj became his Guru in his eyes. He studied under Maharaj for a very long time, and then in 1955 A.D., Yogiji Maharaj gave Swamiji an official initiation into the sect.
When he lived with his guru, Hariprasad Ji served food to the worshippers, swept the temple, massaged, etc., and cleaned clothes and other items.
By the time he had acquired enough knowledge, he was also in charge of 18 different temple departments. In fact, from 1961 to 1965, Swamiji worked as Yogiji Maharaj’s secretary.
Finally, Swamiji was given the title “Sadhu Hariprasaddas” by Maharaj alias Bapa after being properly entered into sainthood through rites. Nevertheless, he persisted in following his path and won a lot of admiration. He established Atmiya Samaj as well.
