Alexis Haines (Neiers), the daughter of renowned director and filmmaker Mikel Neiers, is a former member of the Hollywood burglary squad Bling Ring.

In 2008 and 2009, seven persons in their teens and twenties broke into the homes of A-list celebrities, including Paris Hilton and Orlando Bloom, and stole millions of dollars worth of cash, valuables, jewelry, and designer goods.

The former Pretty Wild reality television actress, who is now a mother of two and the ex-wife of Evan Haines, has a history of substance abuse but has turned her life around to become the mother she always wanted to be.

Alexis’s latest misadventure will lead her to Netflix, where she will freely admit her role in a Hollywood robbery from a decade ago. The three-part docuseries The Real Bling Ring: Hollywood Heist will air on Netflix on Wednesday, September 21, and will feature personal accounts from two Bling Ring members, Haines and Nick Prugo, as well as alleged victims of these thefts.

According to Netflix, the following is the official synopsis:

“In 2009, a group of juveniles convicted in Los Angeles for robbing celebrity homes prompted a media frenzy and a film. Two of them are currently sharing their stories.”

1) In 2010, Alexis Haines was arrested twice.

Alexis Neiers was initially apprehended in 2010 for her role in the Bling Ring activities. She ultimately consented to enter a plea of not guilty. Alexis was sentenced to 180 days in jail in May of the same year but was released after 30 days.

She was also sentenced to three years of probation and forced to pay $600,000 in reparation to actor and victim Orlando Bloom. Six months after her 2010 release, the Pretty Wild actress was again arrested for drug possession due to her failure to contact her probation officer.

After pleading not guilty to the charges, Alexis was sentenced to one year in a residential rehabilitation center for possessing a fake Florida driver’s license.

2) Haines authored a book on her earlier tribulations.

In her 2019 book, ‘Recovering from Reality,’ Alexis Haines reveals the moment she hit rock bottom and the rehabilitation she underwent to overcome it, detailing her history with the Bling Ring and her time as a drug addict.

Alexis spoke with Fox News about her terrible upbringing, her history as a heroin addict and her daily need for the drug, and how prison ultimately saved her life:

“I felt as if I had become aware of our world. I pondered, “Why are we enduring so much suffering?” after observing the world we inhabit and the current opioid overdose statistics. “Why are so many individuals willing to travel?”

She then continued:

“After achieving sobriety, I took the decision to remain out of the spotlight. I was 19 years old at this time period. I sought treatment for my opioid dependency. I had this opportunity, however. Hopefully, this will begin a wave of people realising there is a way out and awakening. This is considerably more than a simple memoir. This is what began to inspire me.”

3) At the age of 21, Alexis Haines gave birth to her first child.

Alexis Haines spoke to E! News about the “beautiful and difficult” delivery of her first baby, Harper, via emergency C-section on April 24, 2013, when she was 21 years old. She stated that although it was not what she had expected, she was pleased to be holding a healthy baby girl.

As reported by Alexis Haines:

“It was the most beautiful and terrifying experience I’ve ever experienced. At 4:30 a.m., when I was 37 weeks and six days pregnant, my water broke.”

Haines continued,

“I had always meant to have a water birth at home, and I did so right up until the moment of delivery. I had had a 12-hour labor without pain medication and had been pushing for over an hour when my midwife kindly informed me that the baby was breech and we needed to go to the hospital immediately.

4) In 2021, Alexis Haines was dating Braunwyn Windham’s ex-girlfriend, Burke’s Kris

In 2021, the former reality TV actress revealed that she and her husband Evan Haines had an open marriage and that she was dating Kris Burke, the ex-girlfriend of RHOC’s former star Braunwyn Windham.

In addition, she has stated on multiple occasions that her spouse at the time was “OK” with her sexual orientation and interests. She added that her daughters “have always recognized that I am bisexual”

5) Alexis and her husband Evan had recently separated.

Evan and Alexis, who are now divorced after eleven years of marriage, recently announced their separation. An official post alerted all of her Instagram followers.

The 31-year-old mother explains that they divorced to provide a stable environment for their two daughters, Harper and Dakota. Before the documents were filed, she told Us Weekly in an exclusive interview:

“After 10 years of marriage and 11 years together, we have a wonderful co-parenting relationship. I don’t think either of us wanted to divorce or separate, but that’s how things came out. Again, I adore Evan, and we may be better parents than spouses.
