Another MC has left the hip-hop scene in a week already plagued by failures. According to Erick Sermon, Hurricane G, a former member of the Def Squad and Hit Squad, died away on November 6.
Gloria Rodriguez, an MC from Brooklyn, New York, appeared on albums by Redman, Keith Murray, and Smif-n-Wessun, among others.
Hurricane G recorded two albums: Mami & Papi, which featured Thirstin Howl III, and All Woman, which was released in 1997. She worked alongside contemporaries like Smif-N-Wessun and Tony Touch as a member of the Hit Squad, but her aggressiveness made her a popular in the underground.

Rapper Hurricane G, often referred to as Hurricane Gloria, was. On Sunday night (November 6), Erick Sermon of E.P.M.D., who had a daughter called Gloria Rodriguez with the latter artist, shared the news of her demise on social media.
It has not yet been made public what caused the death.
Sermon also recognized Rodrguez as an MC who carried the torch as a lady and a role model for Hip-Hop with Puerto Rican background in a sorrowful Instagram post. The familial ties were also emphasized in the sermon. Hurricane G performed rap in both English and Spanish for 25 years.
The public is still unaware of the details of Hurricane G’s destruction. Her family, however, verified this terrible news. Her death stunned and grieved her family as well as the Hip Hop scene.
Hurricane G: Who Was He?
Puerto Rican-born Gloria Rodriguez, better known by her stage moniker Hurricane G, was a rapper from the United States of America.
She gained a big following in the United States as a result of the songs she released. Gloria Rodriguez, who died away in 2016, was better known by her stage name and worked in the entertainment industry her whole career.
Hurricane G contributed to mixtapes by Tony Touch, Mister Cee, and other artists, therefore it is impossible to pinpoint exactly how his work influenced label releases.

When E.P.M.D. was in chaos, Hurricane G inked a record contract with Capitol Records. While she was on the roster, the Hollywood, California-based imprint underwent a restructure that significantly harmed the MC’s career.
Despite her links to Erick Sermon and the Def Squad, Gloria’s first album, All Woman, was released in 1997 on Jellybean Benitez’s H.O.L.A Records label. Das E.F.X. and other former Hit Squad members were on the album, which also included the video hit “Somebody Else,” production by fellow Brooklynite Domingo, and appearances.
At the time of his death, Hurricane G’s net worth was put between $1 million and $5 million. She mostly earned money as a well-known American rapper.
Hurricane G was among the initial members and the first woman to sign up for the Hit Squad when it was just getting started.
