“I recognize Louis’s extensive suffering throughout the book. He’s regretting his former existence in a way that I find endearing, and our Louis does the same thing. However, I believe our Louis has a little more power. He’s more likely to assault Lestat, in my opinion. At first, he’s a little less moody, but we get there! When we arrive, I believe he has a little more bite.
In the Interview With the Vampire trailer, Anderson’s persona is heard talking to reporter Daniel Molloy about Lestat de Lioncourt, claiming that “He is my killer, my mentor, my lover, and my creator.”
