Since Ovidio Guzmán’s arrest, Adriana Meza Torres’ name has come up again since she is thought to be El Raton’s claimed wife.
The Financial Intelligence Unit (UIF) disclosed in 2015 that she is perhaps the daughter of Raul Meza Ontiveros, an Ismael El Mayo Zambada lieutenant operator who was murdered in a gunfight in Culiacán in 2007 during the War on Narco. Her connections to the drug trade are not only restricted to the Guzman family.

Ovidio Guzman’s arrest in the Sinaloa cartel bastion of Culiacan on Thursday resulted in at least 30 fatalities, including 11 members of the armed forces and law enforcement and 19 accused cartel attackers.
Ovidio is the leader of “Los Chapitos,” or “the little Chapos,” a branch of the Pacific Cartel that tried to obstruct the capture by erecting barricades, torching cars, and sparking shootouts that claimed the lives of 29 people, including 10 soldiers. The mayhem shocked the whole country, not for the first time.
