He left a lasting impression on the radio for three seasons before opting to follow his dreams of becoming a television and coaching coach in 2011. In 2009, Cory Alexander rose to prominence on ESPN as a college basketball analyst, contributing to both the ACC Network and ESPN.

He became an instant fan favorite on the national scene thanks to his sharp analysis and intense enthusiasm for the game. Beyond only being a commentator, Cory’s love for basketball is evident in the establishment of the Cory Alexander Basketball School in 1995, which raises funds for grassroots basketball.

Even though Cory had stops at the San Antonio Spurs, Orlando Magic, and Denver Nuggets to climb to the pinnacle of the NBA, his love of basketball transcends official competitions. As a four-year letter winner and 1995 University of Virginia psychology graduate, Cory made a lasting impression.

Among his achievements are his 1991 Parade First Team All-American and McDonald’s All-American status at Oak Hill Academy. As a devoted UVA graduate, Cory’s journey from the court to analysis has improved the game and cemented his place in Virginia Cavaliers history.
