Social media influencer and younger brother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes Jackson Mahomes was detained.

Three counts of aggravated sexual battery and one count of battery were brought against him.

On Wednesday, Jackson was arrested and sent to the Johnson County Detention Center. He posted bond the next day after appearing virtually in court and paying the required $100,000.

The incident, according to the police, began with a complaint made by the proprietor of an Overland Park eatery. She claims that Jackson Mahomes assaulted her and then shoved a waiter.

Aspens Restaurant and Bar Lounge was the site of the alleged incident on February 25. Jackson Mahomes, 22, is seen on video kissing the restaurant’s 40-year-old owner.

In the words of the court documents, Jackson Mahomes “unlawfully and feloniously touched a person without consent with the intent to arouse or satisfy the sexual desires of the offender or another” and “unlawfully and knowingly caused physical contact with another person in a rude, insulting, or angry manner.”

Brandan Davies, attorney for Mahomes, released a statement in writing on Wednesday, saying,

“The Court has prohibited the defendant and lawyers from commenting on the matter.”

Davies declined to have the charges against Jackson Mahomes formally read to him. He also declined to have the bond requirements read to him formally.

Davies sent a statement to KCTV5 in March disputing the allegations against Jackson Mahomes.

We’ve given law enforcement everything they need to assess Jackson’s allegations, it said. Every human exchange must be understood in its right setting. Releasing only a snippet of any video takes away from its context. We trust the system, and we hope this is resolved quickly.

Online court records indicate that conditions of bond include abstinence from alcohol and drugs, a ban on firearms, and no contact with the victim or witnesses.

In addition, the court ordered him to be silent about the case, the claimed victim, and her company.

On May 11, Jackson Mahomes will make another virtual court appearance.
