Just in time for Pride, Hulu’s new homosexual psychological thriller Jagged Mind will be available. The most recent horror movie from Kelley Kali will premiere on Thursday, June 15, at 12 a.m. ET exclusively on Hulu.
Based on Kali’s short film First Date, the suspenseful Hulu production depicts the unsettling tale of a woman who meets an odd new boyfriend and ends up caught in a time loop. The movie will be made available for streaming on June 15 after making its international debut at the American Black Film Festival in Miami Beach from June 14 to 18. At a later time, it will be accessible to everyone in the world via Disney+.

Jagged Mind centers on Billie, who discovers she is caught in a series of time loops after being suddenly bombarded with strange pictures and blackouts. She doesn’t know what happened to turn her life upside down, but it is very likely that her mysterious new girlfriend, Alex, is connected to the time loops.

“Billie experiences blackouts and strange visions that make her feel like she’s reliving the same moments in her life when she starts dating a mysterious new girlfriend.”
Maisie Richardson-Sellers portrays Billie, and Shannon Woodward portrays Alex, her new and enigmatic girlfriend. Known for her recurring role as Eva Sinclair on The CW’s The Originals and her performance in ABC’s Of Kings and Prophets, Richardson-Sellers is a Black British actor. She also frequently appears in the superhero series Legends of Tomorrow on The CW. American actress Shannon Woodward is best known for her roles as Elsie Hughes in Westworld on HBO and Sabrina Collins on Raising Hope on FOX.
David Worthen Brooks, Arbi Pedrossian, and Jenna Cavelle served as executive producers on the film Jagged Mind, which was produced by 20th Digital Studio. It was produced by Daniela Ruiz through her company, Palabra Productions, along with co-producers Kali and Congyu E. Based on a script written by Allyson Morgan, Kelley Kali directed the movie.

A few first-look images from the movie have been released by Hulu, but they offer no plot details. The majority of the pictures feature Billie and Alex, the two main protagonists, in close-ups under ominous black lighting. The psychological thriller’s eerie atmosphere is aided by the background’s touches of scarlet and purple.
