Ahmet Sonuç, a Turkish YouTuber, Twitch streamer, podcaster, and internet celebrity, goes by Jahrein online. Sonuç started his online career on YouTube but became well-known as a Twitch live streamer, being one of the first and oldest Turkish streamers on the network. He interviewed Kemal Klçdarolu, the head of the largest opposition party, in May 2021. Not long after came Babacan, the divisive chairman of the Democracy and Progress Party and a former finance and economy minister for the AKP.

Ahmet Sonuç, a Turkish YouTuber, Twitch streamer, and podcaster who goes by Jahrein online has been the target of two lawsuits by Kemal Klçdarolu, the Chairman of the Republican People’s Party (CHP), seeking TL 500,000 ($19,115) in damages for “insult,” according to the T24 news website. According to him, Klçdarolu is suing him for TL 200,000 ($7,644) for statements made about “leblebi kafal” and “demands hastas” (a patient with dementia), and TL 300,000 ($11,466) for remarks made about “şerefsiz” (dishonorable), “appeal” (dumb), and “yüzsüz” (shameless).
In the petition submitted to the Ankara Civil Court of First Instance on Wednesday, Celal elik, Klçdarolu’s attorney, argued that Sonuç’s remarks disparaging Klçdarolu were disrespectful and violated the politician’s rights. Sonuç mostly criticized Klçdarolu for his performance in the May 28 presidential runoff.
Pres. Recep Tayyip Erdogan defeated a strong opposition alliance that chose the CHP leader as its presidential candidate, despite an economic crisis and dissatisfaction over the handling of the February earthquakes that claimed more than 50,000 lives.
Jahrein Controversy
A judicial and administrative investigation was started against Sonuç in January 2021. Furthermore, numerous other online celebrities are accused of carrying out unapproved giveaways, since these offers in Turkey now need official approval according to new regulations. During his Twitch livestream, Jahrein was playing the video game Erzurum.
After leaving a negative review on Steam with the comment, “I did not like this game, so I do not want this thing to earn even a little bit,” he sent the disc back. The game’s inventor dubbed Sonuç “the lord of toxicity”.
Brief About Jahrein’s Career
He spent a few years living in Germany before moving before finishing his education. After that, Sonuç moved to Poland to work for G2A. He also won the 2018 Game Stars awards for best publisher. Kemal was married to Selin Akmak on October 5, 2019, and he went back to Antalya, Turkey. He interviewed Kemal Klçdarolu, the chairman of the Republican People’s Group (CHP), the largest opposition group, in May 2021.
Subsequently, controversial former AKP finance and economy minister Babacan, chairman of the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), joined the platform. In 2023, he expressed interest in participating in the Turkish parliamentary elections as an independent candidate. But he claimed to have given up on the idea after a few months.
Sonuç left Twitch in protest after learning about the Turkish illicit money scandal in late 2021, and he started streaming on Nimo TV in January 2022. As of right now, though, he is on YouTube, his first platform, as the Nimo platform is closing its international operations in early to mid-2022. He streamed on YouTube between April and August of 2022. On August 31, 2022, he announced that he would be returning to Twitch, where he is now streaming.
