Aldean and Ussery allegedly began their relationship after meeting in high school. They were best friends there.
Following their marriage in 2001, the two maintained a healthy relationship for several years. Their family life appeared to be complete with the birth of their two children.
Not only that, but Ussery handled her then-finances husband and assisted him with other business matters.

The singer filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart in Williamson County, Tennessee, in April 2013, citing irreconcilable differences.

In 2014, the couple announced their engagement, which was quickly followed by their March 2015 wedding.
