The well-known singer and composer Joyce Sims passed away on October 15 at the age of 63. Members of her family confirmed the information, and one of her siblings, Annette Ramsey, paid tribute to her on Facebook. She remarked:

Publisher of SoulTracks Chris Rizik stated that Sims was a superb performer who has worked with them for more than three decades, singing, composing, and performing.
He added that her impact on music was more than the three and a half decades of popularity she enjoyed and that the music business would mourn her passing. No information is available regarding Joyce’s cause of death or her medical history. Her family members are eagerly awaiting word from the authorities.
Joyce, who was born on August 6, 1959, became well-known when she released the song Come Into My Life in 1987. It reached its pinnacle in 1987 and 1988 at number ten on the UK Singles Chart and the US Billboard R&B chart, respectively.
She attended college where she majored in music and practiced a few other instruments. When she signed with the now-defunct record label Sleeping Bag Records, she launched her career in 1986 with the publication of her debut single, (You Are My) All and All. The song was on both the US Dance Chart and the UK Singles Chart at the time.
The following song released by Joyce Sims was Come Into My Life, which went on to become both her biggest hit and only top-10 R&B record. A version of Love Makes a Woman that she and Jimmy Castor collaborated on was similarly favorably welcomed by the general audience.
Come Into My Life by Sims, released in 1987, peaked at number five on the UK Albums Chart and number 22 on the US R&B album chart. She wrote every song on the CD, with the exception of Love Makes a Woman. All About Love, her second album, was published in 1989 and reached its peak position of number 64 on the UK Albums Chart.
Who’s Crying Now, Joyce Sims’ following single, was released in 1994. What the World Needs Now is Love, a song by the artist, was released in 2006 as a track on her album A New Beginning.
She established August Rose Records in 2009 and released Come into My Life: The Very Best of Joyce Sims, a double CD compilation of her best hits and remixes. 2014 saw the release of Joyce’s second album, Love Song, and the 1995 science fiction horror movie Species’ soundtrack featured several of her compositions. Later, she issued the single Wishing You Were Here and the album Back in Love Again.
