She spent $1.2 million on her wedding alone because she wanted to make it special. Her headpiece is said to have cost $6,000, while the bride’s bridal gown, which took nine months to produce, cost $65,000.

When questioned about the cause of her expenses during the wedding, she responded as follows:

She referred to her wedding day as her most memorable experience. She uttered:

“The day I got married was one of the best days of my life. It was always my plan to wear that dress, and I refused to let it not be [by wearing it again]. That day was intended to be the turning point in my life when I would declare to the world that I had entered womanhood.

The world watched Juanita Bynum’s million-dollar wedding, which was broadcast on Trinity Broadcasting Network. Together, they had also constructed Duluth’s Global Destiny Church.

The most significant message Thomas has likely ever sent was an apology to his ex-wife, which he conveyed to her following the incident. A special message from the bishop to his wife Juanita Bynum Weeks and the Global Destiny Family Worldwide was sent out in an eight-minute video email blast. He stated:
