Ken Hakuta, a seasoned TV personality and famous Japanese investor, is the father of Justin Hakuta. Filipino Marilou Cantiller is his mother.
Her mother was a research assistant in the legal department of the World Bank. Marilou acquired the skill of cooking delicious Japanese cuisine after marrying into a Japanese household. Later on, she also helped her husband out in the kitchen.
